08:26 AM ET 07.24 | Lubomir Visnovsky would prefer not to make his way to the Island. Visnovsky, acquired by the Islanders on draft night a little more than a month ago, has filed a grievance through the NHL Players' Association to void the trade from the Ducks, contending that his no-trade clause is still valid and Anaheim never got his permission to make the deal. Should he win his grievance, the trade that sent him to the Islanders for a 2013 second-round pick would be rescinded, though Visnovsky's agent told Newsday that the 35-year-old defenseman has no issues with the Isles. ... "He's been very thankful for the attention he's received from the Islanders. He's impressed," Neil Sheehy said. "This is not a New York Islanders issue."

Why the huge gap in trade and grievance filing? Did he only realize last week that they traded him to Long Island?

And if he's got no issue with the Isles, then why bother with the grievance

rescinded, though Visnovsky's agent told Newsday that the 35-year-old defenseman has no issues with the Isles.
But when he saw the people that go to Islander games, the housing costs on The Island, the preponderance of shopping malls, bad highways.....and Charles Wang....

But what were the Ducks thinking when they traded him? Did they forget about the "no trade" clause?

maybe it was a "no-trade to the Islanders" clause and they missed the fine print?

He's situational awareness, obviously, is not good.

Because his agent is Neal Sheehy. Yeah, that Neil Sheehy! Ryan Suter's agent. The p-rick is flying high after the Suter deal and is looking for more glory and fame, not to mention ... more cash.

As far as hockey is concerned............you're right. But I like country music so Nashville is OK w/ me. Columbus isn't a hockey town, imo, but a fairly nice place to live. :-)

see comment # 18. Plus, I don't think the Islanders are gonna be on the Island too much longer. Where? Brooklyn? Somewhere else out of NY? Don't know. Lot of stuff up in the air.
