08:06 AM ET 07.24 | What, me worry? Ken Whisenhunt's Cardinals haven't had a winning season since he signed a contract extension two years ago. But Whisenhunt hasn't noticed his office seat growing warmer, despite his team not making the playoffs the past two seasons. "You know what, I don't think about that," said Whisenhunt, whose team reports to training camp in Flagstaff Tuesday. "You work on what you can control and preparing your team." Whisenhunt is under contract through the 2013 season, and the team holds an option for 2014. His salary is in the range of $5.5 million to $6 million a year. There is no indication that Whisenhunt's future in Arizona is in question. Under him, the Cardinals won NFC West titles in 2008 and '09 and went to the Super Bowl.

Seems to be overpaid..but so isn't his qb.

Yes, but now there is some competition in the NFC West. Winning agains 3 girls' schools wasn't much of a challenge back then.

Quarterback? What quarterback? There are no quarterbacks within a hundred miles of Arizona. I deny that absolutely.

Anyone working for the Bidwells lives on the hot seat.

He has been for years now...

He got them into playoffs in 2 different seasons, I've seen worse, by the way Rex Ryan got the Jets in the playoffs 2 years in a row as well!

Hmmmmm the term we used to apply to IBM seems to fit here "You can buy better, but you can't pay more"

They may think that they already fired him and are giving 'the new guy' a couple more years.

This guy has done a nice job...except in developing a QB to replace Kurt Warner.

Yes, but it's a dry heat.

That's it exactly. Too many good players jumped ship about the same time Warner left, and Wis has to play with what he's given. If I had been him a few throats would have been grabbed with a 'give me a damn QB'

Unfortunately, not many good QBs are willing to play in Arizona. I'm not sure why because I can think of a few other teams and cities I'd try to avoid way more than Arizona.

I know, it's very nice out here. So it's the owner I'm guessing. I'm suprised Fitz re-signed here.
