Coyotes leaving Doan in the dark?

08:25 AM ET 07.24 | To some degree, Shane Doan is flying blind. By last Thursday, when he was in New York for an NHLPA labor meeting, Doan's camp hoped to hear from prospective Coyotes buyer Greg Jamison by the end of the week to gain reassurance that his bid to purchase the team was still progressing. Without that insight, Doan was expected to examine the 16 teams that have expressed interest in him and study the six offers already extended to determine where he could envision himself next season if he wasn't with the Coyotes. That communication from the Jamison group never came. ... Doan has had conversations with Jamison, but agent Terry Bross said he hasn't heard from Jamison and isn't sure how recently the former San Jose Sharks executive reached out to Doan.

It seems odd to me that the only team not to have expressed interest in Doan is the team he wants to play for.

that's because they don't know where they'll be playing maybe?

If this takes as long as most other Coyote issues............stay, go, Glendale and the arena issues, ownership..............Shane will be about 68 years old when a final offer is made from the owner in whatever city Phoenix might then be resident in.

That sounds about right. That situation is so messed up its going to take a while to straighten it out. Shane, make your move and get off the pot.

exactly...he's free to go, why doesn't he?

I think they'd be a lot of fun. :-)

The guy must be one hell of a golfer. I heard he has 1/2 as many holes in one as he had goals last year.

That's because they know who's calling the shots. If she says, "Honey, we're staying!" the Coyotes don't have to do anything. He's staying!

How else do you get attention playing in Phoenix?

This all might come to a head soon (that always gets attention) as the lawyers are huddling up.
