08:03 AM ET 07.25 | After looking back at the winding road that took him through multiple NBA cities and a mania that came with a name, Jeremy Lin admitted the truth. He did let Linsanity go to his head. "If I'm being honest, in some ways, yes," Lin told [the San Jose Mercury News]. "I fought it every day. But I think subconsciously it had its effect." ... [Since signing in Houston, Lin has] turned down multiple late-night talk shows and started limiting interviews. Every news conference, he talked about his teammates, sharing the spotlight. He looked to find ways to serve them -- picking up others' trash on the team plane, volunteering to carry bags, opening doors, sparking conversation. He even passed up millions of dollars by rejecting endorsement deals.

Not sure how passing up endorsement deals would help "serve" his teammates...

Ok whatever. So this change is a welcome one for him. In HOU he can play with lesser pressure and can freely express himself on the court.
I expect a BIG year from Lin. The dude CAN play!!!!

Yea he sure didn't seem to care about money at all while he watched a depleted Knicks team play inthe playoffs but refused to help out because he was only "85 percent"...Realistically the kid was protecting his free agency value, while it may have been the smart play i'll never like him from a competitive stand point

Fact is everyone in the NBA can play. It's to be determined yet if he can maintain a certain level of play. 35 points may be impressive but guys like Rodrigue Beaubois have went for 40 before, consistancy is the name of the game here.

I guess J. Love can turn down dough after all the dough he just stuck the Rockets up for. I like the Kid, he's a smart businessman and so far has played his cards right. Now on the basketball court, IMO, I think he's a marginal talent with some none superstar potential therefore is not worth a lotta that dough he just raked in, but on the other hand, lookin at all these other clowns gettin paid, why not J. Love? Go J. I got cha back on gettin paid. I mean this cat went from ex-drywall hanger to multi millioniare, now who's smart me or you? I'd have to say its you J. Love, "I'm just opinonated" and you're gettin paid. J Love tell'em "You better recognize". J. Love I can't say I hated to see you go, but I do wish you well "Partner"!
