08:11 AM ET 07.26 | These days, Josh Beckett can't seem to do much right. [On Wednesday, Beckett] blew an early two-run lead against the Texas Rangers, was bailed out by a Dustin Pedroia home run in the sixth that tied the game and then promptly threw it all away in the seventh. ... Beckett may well have had some thoughts on all this [Wednesday] night, but he chose not to share them, his locker empty of everything but his equipment bag. Although Beckett took everything else with him, someone had to carry his bag. Of course. After some time passed a club official finally came by to alert the assembled media that Beckett would not be speaking about his performance. "He's gone," the official said. We could only wish.
