08:18 AM ET 07.26 | Fans in Detroit didn't get much time to learn about forward Fabian Brunnstrom. Brunnstrom, signed by the Red Wings in October 2011 as an unrestricted free agent, is headed back to Europe on a three-year contract with Frolunda of the Swedish Elite League, according to a report. Brunnstrom, 27, told HockeyExpressen.se that he hopes to return to the NHL. "The NHL will always be the goal," he said. "I will always strive to be as good as possible as a player." Brunnstrom (6-1, 205) appeared in five games with the Wings in 2011-12, with one assist and four penalty minutes. He played in 45 games with the Wings' AHL affiliate in Grand Rapids, recording 12 goals and 23 assists.

Let me see! He's 27 and signed a 3 year deal in Sweden and he says, "that he hopes to return to the NHL?" At 30? Nope. I don't think so, bud. You ain't good enough to be a fourth line player for the Columbus Blue Jackets!
