08:18 AM ET 07.27 | Silas Redd, Penn State's most dangerous offensive player, has a significant decision to make: stay at PSU or possibly play for Lane Kiffin at USC. [The] returning second-team All-Big Ten pick is obviously conflicted as he chooses between the Lions and the Trojans. Penn State head coach Bill O'Brien told The Patriot-News Thursday at the Big Ten meetings that he remains in contact with Redd and that Redd has indicated to him that he wants to stay. But Redd has not made his official decision. ... [If Redd leaves for USC], O'Brien would have a couple of tailback options to consider, including talented sophomore Bill Belton, a converted wideout. But Belton is not Redd. No one on the PSU roster is.

Redd at USC is a great move for the kid and his career and his life. USC would win big time on this transfer. Keffin is doing a great job with the NCAA penalties.

"a great move for the kid and his career...and his life...?" HOMER ALERT...!!!

Sorry Gari, but I don't think Sammie is an SC fan. Why would you criticize this move anyways??? RB is the only place we currently have an issue as far as depth. Adding this guy makes us stronger. Guess you are not looking forward to November huh???

Actually ICE, he once said his school and state were USC and UCLA. Didn't make much sense to the rest of us either, but he is a fan.... :)

QUOTE(#11):

The other day people were asking about if USC (or any other team) with with scholly limitations due to sanctions), getting a player from PSU would count against their scholly total. Saw this ..."Any transferred Penn State player who gets a scholarship does not count against another school's scholarship total. However, the NCAA has clarified that a school "subject to scholarship limits due to an infractions case is allowed to accept transfers from Penn State but cannot exceed the scholarship limits specified in its infractions report."USC, which was sanctioned by the NCAA in 2010 over improper benefits, is at its limit of 75 players, so a spot would have to open up for Redd to transfer to the school. USC believes at least one player will be academically ineligible, opening up a spot for Redd. The backup plan would have a walk-on giving up a scholarship."So this wouldn't be an "end around" for USC.

Thanks for the clarification. I heard both ways and didn't think it would be fair for schools on limits to get the waiver like other schools.

Let the roster management commence.

Well then right there he is full of it. Can't be an SC fan and bruin fan at the same time. Ugh.
