Three-team deal hits snag, Kirilenko in limbo

08:08 AM ET 07.27 | A three-team trade that involves Minnesota, Phoenix and New Orleans, one that would clear cap space for the Wolves to sign Andrei Kirilenko, is no done deal. But it is still expected to be completed and announced, perhaps as early as Friday. That would allow the Wolves to officially sign Kirilenko, who has verbally agreed to a two-year, $20 million contract to come here. It appears New Orleans' salary cap position might be the sticking point in the trade. The Arizona Republic reported early Thursday that the deal might have hit some snags. ... The Hornets are over the salary cap, and thus more limited in what they can do in trades under the collective bargaining agreement. That said, a trade -- perhaps modified -- is expected to get done.

Maybe this is God's way of telling the Wolves to pull that ridiculous offer from Kirilenko

if Kirilenko can give them 10 pts, 5 boards, 2 steals and 2 blocks a night, then he is worth that money.

The Timberwolves have no idea what they are doing.

I honestly think I could run this franchise better than its has been run in the last five years.

FAIL.

If the Nets were considering paying him veteran's minimum (albeit that's all they have left), that should tell you or the Wolves a thing or two about what much the market perceives his value to be. At least a ball park.
But then again, this is a team that was ready to mortgage its future (with draft picks) and current (cap space) by getting Batum as their savior.

Hail Kahn!!!!

Kahn keeps making dumb moves, however, I'm glad he sent Ellington to Memphis.

Maybe he has an AK47 to Kahn's skull.

Oh Man. As a wolves fan (please don't laugh too hard) can we please get this season started! In all honesty though it starts with the owner, Glen Taylor, who in my opinion is the worst owner in the NBA. He needs to sell the team as its obvious he has watched over some of the most incompetent (including himself) personnel (Kahn, McHale) in the history of the NBA. IDK, maybe everything works out but i wouldnt bet on it. Stern needs to take away the keys from these two idiots.

It is Kahn being Kahn, but I'm not as opposed to the AK signing as I once was. If he performs, then he is worth the money. If not, he becomes a valuable expiring contract to be moved next year, either in the offseason or at the deadline.
