08:19 AM ET 07.27 | Even if Silas Redd returns to Penn State, he may be changing jerseys. [He] and his teammates are expected to have different uniforms and maybe even names on the back of their jerseys. ... [An issue that generated much buzz] Thursday was the possibility that coach Bill O'Brien plans to change Penn State's traditional, basic blue and white uniforms. The coach mentioned that possibility during a conference call with players' parents Wednesday night, according to the Reading Eagle. O'Brien has had discussions with Nike about changing the uniforms, which he has said repeatedly that he would not do since taking the PSU job in January. "I reserve the right to change my mind," O'Brien said Thursday when asked what led to his decision.

I like the idea of names on the back. Always a fan of that....

I know. Their blue and white uni's with the solid white helmets made them look slow on TV, esp if they wore black high-tops.
They need to "get with it".... LOL

Might as well change EVERYTHING. Go the complete opposite on the uniforms from plain Jane to something far out...but not as fugly as Maryland's!

If the school had just instituted penalties, the NCAA wouldn't have had to step in. This is a case of football caring the rest of the athletic programs. The NCAA knew if they had shut down the football program for a year or 2 like they should have the rest of the athletic programs might never have recovered.

I guess they are looking for another revenue stream with new uniforms to cover the $60 million + civil rewards. Hey maybe instead of names on the back they could use INMATE! Oh the longest yard in the second mile club.
