The agent for Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard confirmed NBA commissioner David Stern's accusation that Howard's representatives were the sources that provided details of Wednesday's private meeting in Los Angeles with Magic officials. However, the agent said, those representatives did so only after media members were tipped off to the meeting taking place by some other source and out of concern that subsequent reports about the content of the meeting would be inaccurate.

QUOTE(#16):

As abrasive as you often are, you are totally correct here. The Magic are playing this like a man clinging to a cheating woman. She clearly doesn't love him and wants a divorce but he is refusing to give it to her and making her hate him even more.Let the man move on already, good grief. He gave the franchise some 7 or 8 good years and made them relevant again. Let him follow his dreams.

Couldnt they have had a clean break with him no opting in? But I guess that was the magic fault he chose to stay bc he knew he couldn't get paid on the open market as much as if he re-signed with the team he desires....
