08:36 AM ET 07.28 | According to a report by Orangebloods.com, sophomore quarterback David Ash suffered a hamstring injury during a workout Friday. "Orangebloods has confirmed through three sources that projected Texas starting QB David Ash injured his hamstring today in workouts," Orangebloods.com's Geoff Ketchum tweeted Friday evening. "No information on the severity of the injury is known at this time. UT reports at the end of next week." YNN's Ricky Doyle tweeted later Friday night that a "#UT spokesman confirms David Ash did strain hamstring. Says it is not severe and he is day-to-day."

Texas football a thing of the past. Need a new Head coach. Mack is too old.

never believe the UT spokesman.bottom line is we will have to see. Bergeron supposedly had a cramp last season and didn't see the field for more than a month.

Well...I did say "if". LOL

Hopefully it is just a strain....but he sure doesn't need to miss many practices. Needs as many reps as he can get.

Fell asleep watching the opening last night, did anyone else find it so boring, not as good as China put on, did not figure anyone would top that anytime soon though.

I found it rather splendid actually, you have to take with tea and crumpets, and remember to say god save the queen.

You have got to be kidding me!! We are talking about Texas football here,, in that great big sea of talent the Horns cant come up with a 5 star QB?! The USC Trojans already have one at the ready right behind Barkley. I mean you dont have far to look. What gives?!

+1 Van. I repeat, UTx and A&M have absolutely no excuse for not having excellent talent and depth at every position. Too much talent and more than ample resources at their disposal. JMHO though.
