09:13 AM ET 07.28 | Score the first round for Mark Sanchez. Sanchez outperformed Tim Tebow in yesterday's opening Jets practice, the starting quarterback showing the command of the offense that had coach Rex Ryan and offensive coordinator Tony Sparano saying Thursday that Sanchez knows the offense better than anyone on the team. "Awesome," Sanchez said of the offense's performance. "Exactly what we wanted. We've got a long way to go, but it was nice to get that one under our belts." Sanchez finished the day going 7-for-8 in team drills and 4-for-8 with an interception in 7-on-7 drills. Tebow finished 4-for-4 with a sack in team drills and 4-for-6 in 7-on-7s. hile Sanchez looked comfortable, Tebow looked like someone still feeling his way around a new playbook and new teammates. He often held the ball for several seconds, including on the sack, and admitted he still had some work to do.

So, Sanchez out performs Tebow in practice? With three years under his belt there, he better. The real test comes with real pressure. I don't like Tebow as a QB but he shows more poise under real pressure situations.

When you 'hope' Sanchez outperforms Tebow your prospects are not that good.

I hope we don't get a day by day critique of these idiots, by idiots. Dirty Sanchez has run the offense for three or more years and Tebow had his first day in camp, I wonder who should know the playbook better?

THE JETS SUCK!!!

A 50% completion rate with an interception under more game-like conditions isn't something I would be happy with.

I wouldn't be happy with Sanchez and Tebow as my two options at QB.

Exactly, how is a 69% completion % + 1 interception better than an 80% rate + 1 sack?

and what's really pathetic- is the medial has literally booked up every room in cortland, yet the giants, the super bowl champs, fly under the radar- it just shows that the media is not about facts and real storiesits about the POSSIBILITY of getting a scoop on some athlete saying or doing something stupid

Media is all spin. Even television series these days are about 70% "reality tv". Nobody cares about talent; it's about the "drama" that can be created by planting headlines and whatever else.
