08:20 AM ET 07.30 | Penn State quarterback Rob Bolden may finally have found his way out of State College. [Bolden] is making an official visit to LSU this weekend and might transfer to the Tigers program, a source close to the situation said Sunday. A 6-feet-3, 214-pound junior from Orchard Lake, Mich., Bolden is one of several Penn State players considering transferring after the NCAA handed Penn State severe penalties in wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal. Nittany Lions players choosing to transfer will not have to sit out the 2012 season. Bolden's presence this season would help LSU quarterback depth immensely.

Let Bolden sit the bench on a great LSU team instead of sitting the bench on a lousy team. Good riddance and take dad with you. bye bye Bolten Bolden.

Appropriately, this picture shows Bolden about to be tackled by a Bama player. Think his 0-2 record against the Crimson Tide will improve if he transfers to LSU?

He wouldn't be playing at PSU unless the 2 guys in front of him get hurt, plus after LSU's starter they have only freshmen, I believe. So Bolden brings some actual playtime to LSU. He even tried to transfer last year, but Paterno would grant his release. O'Brien granted it months ago, but the "no penalty transfer" wasn't on the table until last week. If LSU takes him, good for him.

I think what we can take from this is Bolden is a perpetual 2nd stringer and will not start anywhere he goes, if a contender, barring injury from the guys in front of him.
If he wants significant playing time, he should go somewhere like UAB.

If Bolden can't beat out the walk on McGloin at Penn State who is terrible, how can Bolden expect to play at a great school with talent? Bolden brings dissent and trouble to any program dumb enough to take him. Why put a disease in your lockerroom? makes no sense.

So guessing LUS still had some room under the cap, and some moolah left laying around with nothing better to do?

If they pay for Bolden, is fiscal irresponsibility. A roster spot opened up when Prevot went west.

Remember, it's Les we're talking about here. His specialty is off-the-wall, nobody-else-would-ever-do-that kinds of decisions.
And they usually work, dadgummit.

Have you seen the QB play at LSU the last couple of year? McGloin would probably get some time there as well. All they really do is hand the ball off, throw 3 yard passes and run for their life.

Can't happen. All teams in the SEC are great ergo all games go down to the wire! No garbage time...well, maybe against the OOC creampuffs.

I was just being sarcastic cuz some SEC homers think all the teams are of LSU/Bama strength.
