08:26 AM ET 07.30 | Just what the Flyers-Penguins rivalry needed: More bad blood. Now that both his wrists have healed from post-season surgery, Claude Giroux is able to point a finger. And he's pointing it at Sidney Crosby. ... Giroux played with two damaged wrists during the second round of the playoffs against the New Jersey Devils. He hurt them during the first-round series with the Pittsburgh Penguins. "Those are from Crosby," Giroux told the Timmins Press, revealing a pair of nearly symmetrical scars. "Every time we'd line up against each other for a faceoff during our [playoff] series, instead of going for the puck when it was dropped, [Crosby] would hack me across the wrists. I ended up playing the series against [New] Jersey with one of them fractured and had to go for surgery on both of them after we were out of the playoffs."

Maybe Crosby slashed him Sunday so this is up to the minute information

Deja vu all over again....

July 30, 2012  09:28 AM ET

Maybe the weekday interns need to look at what the weekend interns posted before they put something up.

I don't know if this was covered in the previous posting, but Giroux had surgery to repair some torn cartilage in his right wrist and to remove some bone spurs in his left wrist. At most he had a bone chip and not a fracture. Its just another case of a Flyer embellishing.

When I was younger there used to be a First Nations server in a pub that I frequented and we called him "Jimmy Two-Dogs." Albeit for a different reason.

did it refer to his dates?

Snooze.

Every time? EVERY TIME? Damn. As many penalties that were called, the refs must have bene blind to all those faceoffs.

Some sort of hero to have played through the next series with two broken wrists and then to take it out on Zubrus.

Whatever.

This is from Saturday's T&R:

Giroux blames Crosby for surgery

09:46 AM ET 07.28 | Flyers fans' lasting impression of the team's first-round playoff series against the Pittsburgh Penguins might be Claude Giroux's first shift of Game 6, when in 32 seconds Giroux crushed Sidney Crosby before going on to score the game's first goal. The Flyers went on to win that game and eliminate the Pens from the postseason. Giroux's lasting reminders, however, will come in the form of a pair of scars on his wrists, resulting from two surgeries he underwent this summer. Turns out, according to the Timmins Press, the injuries and resulting scars are care of Crosby. "Those are from [Sidney] Crosby," Giroux told the paper. "Every time we'd line up against each other for a face-off during our series, instead of going for the puck when it was dropped, he'd hack me across the wrists. I ended up playing the series against Jersey with one of them fractured and had to go for surgery on both of them after we were out of the playoffs."

Maybe Crosby will sign his cast.

Where are the comments about all of us being pantywaists because we have the temerity to suggest Giroux should shut his hole and play the game?

I really miss those.
