08:09 AM ET 07.31 | The Detroit Lions wrapped up another day of training camp at their practice facility Monday in a session that included some tension and some rookie promise. Defensive end Lawrence Jackson and tackle Jonathan Scott let off some steam on Monday. Jackson was rushing the passer on the edge. Scott held Jackson's arm to prevent his opponent from attacking the passer. Jackson responded by shoving Scott. Then Scott responded by shoving Jackson, who immediately hit the ground. Both guys went their separate ways. ... [Kellen Moore] is outperforming R.J. Archer right now. Moore is finding ways to complete passes, while Archer continues to throw interceptions. Moore struggles to throw the long pass, but is becoming more accurate with short throws.

It helps to climb the depth chart when others around you are visiting the local jail like it has a revolving door.

And then Jackson threw sand on Scott, and Scott called Jackson a doo-doo head. And the teacher had to give them both a cookie and a cup of juice to calm them down.

Yeah, Stafford has a reputation for fragility, but Shaun Hill proved that he is one of the most capable backups in the league a couple of years back.

So, this Moore guy is moving up the depth chart to 3rd string QB? Whoopee.

Wonderful coverage. The best thing is that when Goodell gets bored with what he's currently doing, he can start levying fines for this stuff that means absolutely nothing.

Bite your tongue, DD. He's the guy who holds the clipboard for the guy who holds the clipboard for the guy. On a busy day, he helps pass out Gatorade.

I've got to admit, I like team players like that.

He better hope that they don't designate him to offer conjugal visits to teammates.

If he toes the line maybe the Jets will trade for him.

Ya gotta love it, Roger calls his head of accounting, tells him he wants to throw a big start of gravey train errr season party he needs a couple million to charter a big yatch. Accounting says we don't have the funds to cover that. Roger says ok prepair a list of player fines and amounts to cover it plus a bit extra for travel expenses. No one can refuse or we chop up their team and send whats left to LA.

Good Morning Boys, it's looks like the Lions need more of Moore!

'Going their separate ways' in Detroit means buying some malt liquors and driving around in their own cars rather than carpooling with the others.

This is more about Archer's ineptness than Moore's worth at QB. Let us know when he starts challenging Stafford. As it is, the article says that Moore stilll struggles throwing the long ball (= weak arm), something you had better be able to do in this league. "NFL" for him might well mean "Not For Long."

You'd think with a name like Archer that he'd be a bit more accurate.

July 31, 2012  10:32 AM ET

In all probability, if you're relying on one of these guys to save your season, you're screwed any way.

Yes it does. But Moore is much like Russell Wilson, they both manage to get the job done. Except in the Rose Bowl, but it's tough for anyone to beat Oregon these days. hehehe

That was my take... Discussions about the 3rd QB aren't worth the discussion.

In Detroit 3rd string QB has a habit of moving up fast
