08:19 AM ET 07.31 | Lane Kiffin's offense may be on the verge of adding a very talented running back. Penn State star running back Silas Redd is strongly leaning toward transferring to USC, sources told ESPN's Joe Schad. Redd left Los Angeles on Monday after spending lots of time with Trojans quarterback Matt Barkley and wide receiver Robert Woods over the weekend, according to the sources. A source said Penn State's leading rusher from last season will arrive from California this evening, then plans to drive to State College tomorrow, presumably to visit with Nittany Lions coach Bill O'Brien. The NCAA has said players can transfer from Penn State and be eligible immediately after unprecedented sanctions were handed down against the school.

I did. I was in for about 20 years. So that means I can only assume that Bama has earned another 30 NCs. ;-)

playing for a Heisman QB in Barkley at USC or some walk-on wimp that gets KO'd in the shower and who is terrible?? No decision for Redd to make, Go to USC and enjoy life at a great program and vacation atmosphere.

Brother, if I am Redd, my bags are packed. The exposure he can get in a major media market WITHOUT an NFL team will boost his stock for drafting. All he has to be is adequate behind a Matt Barkley that's a good bet for the Heisman. What's awaiting him back in State College? A dismal year. Why would he want to wear that when he doesn't have to?

I hear you. Still, unless Redd's cracked out or something, he walks. He's got some stones going to see O'Brien though.

From what I've heard....he's a classy kid. Props to him for being a man and going to talk to his coach. Now. get your arse to So Cal and enjoy being a D-1 player in a Natl Champ contending team.
I just hope everyone cuts this kid some slack if he moves....not like he's taking his talents to South Beach. Get the He-L-l away for Ped U & no one should blame you

Is Redd even that good of a player for USC's exceptional athletic tailback standards??

Kiffin to O'Brien.....
You know, we are sitting here, you and I, like a couple of regular fellas. You do what you do, and I do what I gotta do. And now that we've been face to face, if I'm there and I gotta take Silas away, I won't like it. But I tell you, if it's between Penn State and USC who needs an RB really bad, brother, you are going down.

Weren't you the guy that ripped Gunna Kiel?
Guess it's different when your school is at the receiving end.
