08:21 AM ET 07.31 | Kyle Anderson, Jordan Adams, Shabazz Muhammad and Tony Parker make for more than a freshman recruiting class -- they make for UCLA's immediate inclusion in the national championship conversation. "I have read all kinds of outlandish stuff," Anderson said. "I saw one thing where all four of us will be named All-American this year. That would be nice if it happens, but let's be realistic here. We have a lot of work to do." ... The Bruins began practice Sunday for their three-game tour in China late in August. It is an opportunity to smooth off some rough edges before embarking on a season of anticipation. The renovated Pauley Pavilion goes on display Nov. 9 when the Bruins open the regular season against Indiana State.

National championship talk???? I want some of that cool-aid.

They are following the Coach Cal - Kentucky model, and it's ended up there for KY in the past. I guess it's possible if these guys are as good as advirtised

UCLA has a legitimate shot, but they will need to replace Howland.

I believe these guys are as "good as advertised", but the problem is if they are that good, they will be "one and done".

I really got confused thinking it was so close to the opening of football camps someone was saying UCLA had a chance at a national title. Then I realized someone thought I cared about basketball in freaking JULY!!!

I'm not so sure they should replace Howland. He is a hell of a defensive coach. Didn't he take them to the Final Four three years in a row, a couple of years ago, then they lost Love, Westbrook and a couple of other players to the NBA as under graduates?

Did anyone else have to do a double take on the blurb title, mistakenly thinking it was about UCLA underwear (keep in mind their well-documented underwear runs)?

The end of August cannot come soon enough (inferring more trials than just the suffocating heat)...

Didn't he have same players a couple of years ago saying he lost the team?

I think so, but I also remember some players complaining about Coach Cal at Kentucky, a couple of years ago.

My mom bought some 1 time when I was a little kid and tasted like crap.
As a 5yr old, remember telling her if we couldn't afford the extra 4 cents, I'll get a job to make up for it.
