Raja saga rages on

08:55 AM ET 07.31 | Though it has nothing on that of Dwight Howard's, the Raja Bell saga continues. The Salt Lake Tribune learned Monday that Bell has not accepted a buyout with the Jazz, despite the veteran guard saying July 8 a verbal agreement had been reached between the sides and only formalities remained. "We've been given the greenlight by Utah to go ahead and find something that works for us. We've agreed to the terms," Bell said in July. ... Jazz General Manager Kevin O'Connor would not discuss Bell's buyout when recently asked about the situation during Summer League in Orlando, Fla. But a league source confirmed Monday the Jazz have officially offered Bell a buyout. He has refused to accept the deal, though, delaying an already long-delayed process.

Didn't know this dude was still in the league. He needs to move on and get out of Marvin's way.

Well paid though..after all the bush league his given teams ova the years. The NBA is simply a gold mine for marginal talent. If only they knew how to manage the dough.

Context......
He only played about 20-22 minutes per game and he did shoot the ball well (39% from 3-point line) when he got shots.
Still.....I never liked the guy, and wouldn't mind if he just disappeared from the NBA scene.

I'm thinking Bell's gonna force Utah to be on the hook for his entire salary. The best I can see him getting signed for is the Vet's Minimum of about $1.3 million, or so.
No way do I see Utah being willing to make up the difference on his salary (about $2.1 million) on a buy-out.
From a dollars and cents standpoint, he make Utah waive him.......or he sticks with them on the end of their bench and collects the $3.4 that he's contracted for this season.

Translation: I don't want to play for Utah but no teams are offering me a contract so i'll take the 3.5 mill you owe me. I really hope the Jazz keep him on the roster, pay him and tell him to stay the $%# away from salt lake city. Raja, your career is done bro.
