08:03 AM ET 08.01 | Even from Oxnard, Calif., Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones can make headlines in New York. [Jones] is apparently taking over defensive coordinator Rob Ryan's role as the team's NFC East instigator. On the day Ryan vowed to watch his often outspoken mouth, Jones fired a jab at the New York Giants, who crushed the Cowboys' playoff hopes in the 2011 regular-season finale en route to their second Super Bowl title in five years. "Y'all should come to that (Cowboys) stadium and watch us beat the Giants' [butt]," Jones told fans during a ceremony to signal the opening of Cowboys' training camp Monday, a festival-like event that featured a few skydivers and a performance from the franchise's famous cheerleaders.

I think he actually said "Y'all should come to that (Cowboys) stadium and watch us for $200 a piece."

I don't think the Giants will be as easy to push around as Dez Bryant's mama.

I think that if anyone on Oxnard, CA wants to see football, they're better off taking the 6-hr trip to SF to see the 9ers or Raiders. Shorter trip to San Diego but we already know the result there. Wait until the end of the season when they're working for a WC spot they won't get.
Only reason anyone in Oxnard wears Cowboys colors is to affiliate themselves, and not with Big D either. Was stationed there and we were cautioned not to wear those colors even if we were fans.

I'd say to put a tent over that circus, but the Cowboys' training facility hasn't held up well in the past.

Cheerleaders! Jerry, why don't you say, "Y'all should come out to that stadium and see the best cheerleaders anywhere." Seeing all that physiology tumbling out of those blouses is still the best thing in the entire NFL.

As a Cowboys fan, all this talk is really stupid when the team can't produce on game day.

That had to hurt. Go on the road against an 8-7 Giants team that got pounded by the Redskins two weeks earlier, knowing that if you win, you not only win the division but get a home playoff game against the stumbling falcons.
Ah! Sweet nectar of life in the NFL.
