08:10 AM ET 08.01 | Those who chose to ignore history are doomed to repeating it. The lessons of 2006 are resonating in 2012. It is among the reasons Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra is currently back at work promoting the NBA in Asia and why he is glad to see Heat forward LeBron James working toward Olympic gold in London. At a media session in Singapore, a stopover on the way to a series of clinics in his ancestral homeland of the Philippines, Spoelstra stressed that the theme of the Heat's offseason is to keep moving forward in the wake of the franchise's second NBA championship. ... "If we learned one thing from the 2006 title, it was that you need to continue to reinvent yourself and improve as a basketball team," Spoelstra said. "That year we brought the exact the same team back, we thought it would be the same path and same journey."

Maybe Bosh can find some courage and Wade will stumble across a brain...

Now that Spos have shut a lotta posters up with all the Spos will be gone nonesense, I hope somma you's can sit back and objectively comment on the Heat and Spos. I am impressed with Lebron's humbleness displayed all last year all the while a relentless amount of critisism, myself included didn't do anything to disuade his efforts to achieve his goal of a championship. Although I do not like Don Rilione, I respect his pedigree and what he has accomplished with the Lakers, Knicks, and Heat. I will also give Spos the benefit of doubt, same as Rilione did and say that Spos will in fact develop into a marvelous young coach. Spos ain't goin nowhere. The Heat will have to be dealt with and thats with something other than hate filled venom spewed by others. Its gonna take good teams to dethrone them and not loudmouths running off at the mouth.....bank on that. I hope my Knicks will be up to the challenge!
