Redd may split carries

08:19 AM ET 08.01 | On the face of things, Silas Redd, who just happens to play the position Lane Kiffin recently said was his "No. 1 concern" heading into the 2012 season, makes USC a whole lot better in a hurry. Transfers and injuries left USC with only three scholarship tailbacks coming out of spring practice. Of the three, only senior Curtis McNeal, who rushed for 1,005 yards last season as a part-time starter, has any substantial experience. Redd, a 5-10, 200-pound junior from Norwalk, Conn., rushed for 1,241 yards and seven touchdowns last season. He likely will share carries with the smaller McNeal and also will allow Kiffin to keep impressive incoming freshman Nelson Agholor at wide receiver.

The question is, "Will they crap the bed against a so-so team in the middle of the season?"
If they don't, they very well could play in the NCG...if they play nice with ESPN.

DC, yeah USC has a history of crapping the bed at least one game a year. If they are lucky enough to go undefeated and beat Oregon twice, then they should be in the NCG.
