Report: Doan met with Canucks Tuesday

08:27 AM ET 08.01 | While it doesn't yet rise to the level of Theo Epstein dining in Chicago, or any other sightings ranging from Bigfoot to Waldo, Shane Doan's whereabouts these days are being fed through a prism of the belief he might be willing to sign in a new city. Appearing on Sportstalk on CKNW, John Gambadoro of KTAR in Phoenix and multiple sources have confirmed that free agent Shane Doan met with the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday evening. Gambadoro indicated that given the uncertainty of the Phoenix ownership situation, Doan is visiting Vancouver and that other teams will now get a visit as Doan and his agent Terry Bross ramp up their efforts to get the Phoenix captain signed to a contract.
