08:05 AM ET 08.02 | Washington wrapped up its sixth day of training camp with an update on Jammal Brown, but none on Kentwan Balmer. "[Brown's] not going to need surgery," Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan said on Brown. "Had his other hip looked at today, it's still a little bit sore." ... "He'll still be on PUP," Shanahan said. "We're going to try to get him back in football shape and see where he's at." Shanahan also isn't sure if Brown will be ready for the start of the regular season. Stephen Bowen, Ryan Kerrigan and London Fletcher were all given the afternoon off to rest. Kentwan Balmer also wasn't present and right now Mike Shanahan isn't sure where he is. "I'm not really sure what the situation is with him," Shanahan said. "Hopefully it's nothing very serious."

Maybe something that shows a winning coach? Wonder if the Broncos would let them use any old stock they have...

Maybe they should use a picture of the missing guy--you know, if you've seen this guy please call the redskins?

Given the afternoon off to rest? Didn't training camp just start, like, last week? These guys have been off since December, and they need a day off after 4 days of camp?

Shanny-boy, if you allow a lazy work ethic like that, you're not going to have much of a team around to support RG3. You've got a chance to compete for the NFC East title, even this season, but it's not going to happen if you go into Week One with a bunch of guys who think they can loaf through the season.

Hail to the Redskins. Maybe.

They should put his picture on cartons of Purple Drank.

Part of the new CBA. They should put skirts on these guys doing drills.

If you check other camps, guys are limping around with various bruises and injuries all over the place. It's the difference between being in shape and being in football shape.

The vets in some camps are getting less reps because the coaching staff feels like they already know what those players can do. With the fewer overall practices they want the rookies and new guys more time on the field to show what they can do.

Slackers in Patriots' camp get a bus ticket home. Look at Joseph Addai, if you can figure out which Greyhound station he in.

To win like a champion, you have to train like a champion.

Considering the Redskins are his 4th team since he was drafted in '08, why should we know about him or care?

Balmer? Isn't that the city where the Ravens play?

I think that is Shanny's perspective considering his reaction....if it was a star player, you can bet he'd know what was going on or be aggressively trying to find out, not saying, "I don't know but I hope he's okay"
