08:07 AM ET 08.02 | Training camp rotations are a hard game to read, which may be why Chris Clemons doesn't view his job status as shaky with the Dolphins. [Clemons] was back on Wednesday with the first team, opposite Reshad Jones, at safety -- one of the most competitive positions on defense. Jimmy Wilson had taken first-team snaps in the previous three practices, including two days when Clemons was sidelined by a bruised knee. "I see myself as a starter," Clemons said. "Don't let anyone take anything from me. Nothing. I feel like I'm the leader." Wilson and Tyrone Culver appear to be in the lead in the competition for the third and fourth safety jobs, if neither beats out Clemons for a starting spot.

The amount of Dolphins threads has been shocking. Too much has been said for a team going NOWHERE!

All fodder for the Hard Knocks build-up.

As far as Clemons' comments go, guess he needs to do something about it.

Somebody else played with the first string when he was banged up and couldn't play? This doesn't strike me as a surprising development. And now that he is healthy, he is back with the first string.

Don't you see the story. He was hurt; didn't play with the first string. Healthy; with the first string. There's drama everywhere in Miami. They need to call Crockett and Tubbs to figure out what's going on there.

Again, it's the second week of training camp, and already guys are banged up? They're wearing pads now, but there's been almost no contact yet. What's going to happen when they start playing badminton against those Indonesian girls?

I was thinking the same thing, perhaps these writers know something we don't?

"I see myself as a starter," Clemons said.
