08:09 AM ET 08.02 | What, him worry? Ben Roethlisberger does not seem as concerned about his "little torn rotator cuff" in his right arm. ... "I'm good. It's OK, just sore," he said when asked about his arm injury. "I have a little torn rotator cuff. That doesn't heal. We just have to hope it doesn't tear the rest of the way, according to Doc," he said, laughing. After practice, coach Mike Tomlin said there was no concern about Roethlisberger's arm and he is not limited in making any throws. But Roethlisberger said he does take some precautions before practice, and not just because of the injury. "It's part of getting older, too. If you watch walk-throughs, I used to throw all the time. Now it's just backing off. Now I don't ever throw during walk-throughs.

That is sad. I'm sure the rest of the AFC north will send him a get well soon card.

"It's part of getting older."

Wait until the knees start, and the back, and elbows. Maybe get a gout flare-up or bursitis. Then he can start talking about getting older.

How did you get hold of my medical report ???

I wonder how the Las Vegas odds-makers factor in the chance of the starting QB needing surgery part way through the season...do they have a formula for that, or do the just pick a different number out of a hat?

I had rotator cuff surgey. It was 6 months to recover. This will weaken his throwing until it gets fixed. And, take it from me, he's right about one thing. "That doesn't heal." It's also going to make a guy who takes a lot of physical punishment every game even more vulnerable.

This little bit of news could tip the balance of power to the Ravens in the AFC North.

And a certain hillbilly will be showing up to say how it improves the Bengals' chances. He's right.

Thinking we have the same doctor. Wish he just mixed up records because I can do without all this.

I'm actually beginning to understand that if I pound back beers all day, I gain weight and feel like crap the next morning.

I bet the fans are concerned even tho Ben isn't.

If it hasn't fallen off, it's OK. Put me back in the game coach. And don't tell the Choirboy.

To be honest, I don't think the Bengals needed much help, but Suggs being out and now Rothlisberger coming up with a gimpy throwing arm definitely put them into the hunt.

I'm concerned, if it's in his head it could effect his game!

LOL DD......But I think Big Ben gave some D-Linemen a little more incentive to get to the QB, the reapetitive motion with his throwing arm will definitly put a lot of stress on it and A good hurt to his sholder area could tear it more, big risk the Steelers are taking.....

sorry....hit to his shoulder

Too bad they don't have Tebow as a backup QB.

Hit...hurt....same thing. If he's got a weak spot and something puts enough force on that arm, his season is over. What the "little" tear does is weaken the arm so that "enough force" is a lot smaller than it should be.

Good thing they retooled the o-line then, right?

They hope.
