08:30 AM ET 08.02 | The locking up of Montreal's only unsigned player won't be as easy. The Canadiens have offered defenceman P.K. Subban a two-year contract worth $5.5 million, according to one report Wednesday, but the sides apparently are far apart. One of Subban's agents told TVA Sports that a deal was not imminent and that the terms made public were incorrect. "I don't see anything being done in the short term," agent Mark Guy said Wednesday. "These deals are difficult and take time. I can, however, say that negotiations are ongoing and that the information reported is not accurate." Subban reportedly is looking for a longer term than two years. The 23-year-old played for $875,000 in 2011-12, his third season as a pro.

Go to To***to P.K. If you're really bad they'll pay you 6.5 mil per year and make you captain.

Burkie can count on you as his wingman! He's grateful I'm sure. :)

kind of tough to play the poverty card when you're paying a cheap-shot schlub like this so much money

If Subban or Kane fall in the woods do they make a sound?

Stop the press......Double Check the math......using this here cockamalator

5.5/2= 2.75 mil
2,750,000-875,000= $ 1, 875,000 a year raise.....

And he turned it down?

Oh Wait...nevermind, I forgot Wade Redden makes $6.5 mil playing in the minors ;)

That was a huge nail in the coffin for Montreal as far as I was concerned when they did that for Savard.

If they do that with PK I will not be back.

too bad PK doesnt keep himself in the same shape as Chelios

His own teammates dont even like him......

This picture is so appropriate - he's punching someone in the back of the head and looking for one of his teammates to step in and defend him.

No. He is a one trick pony and everyone knows the trick at this point.

Too bad he doesn't have one tenth the talent that Chelios had.

Rex and BGM are simply bitter cause PK isn't a Bruin.
