Haslam ready to clean house in Cleveland

08:04 AM ET 08.03 | As part of his agreement to buy the Browns, Jimmy Haslam III retired his Steelers watch Thursday in favor of a Browns watch -- the first of what might be many changes. Former Philadelphia Eagles president Joe Banner will assume the same role with the Cleveland Browns, possibly spelling the end of Mike Holmgren and Tom Heckert in Cleveland, two league sources told CBSsports.com on Thursday. NFL Network learned earlier that Banner would be part of [Haslam's] executive management team, but Banner's exact role has yet to be announced. One source told CBSsports.com that Haslam will "blow (the) whole place up" in reference to the Browns' front office. Browns president Holmgren and general manager Heckert probably will be fired.

Holmgren hasn't but Heckert has done a pretty solid job. Everything was run through Big Mike so Tom could only do what his boss approved.
I think re-uniting Banner with Heckert is going to be a very good thing!

This isn't cute anymore. He made a public statement yesterday they are not moving. They also have a thirty year lease. I know your intention was to get a rise out of a Browns fan and you succeeded, but this was already done a couple days ago.

Looking forward to seeing some positive change for this franchise. I'd like to see the AFC North just be a full-on beast division with four teams that are competitive.

I am somewhat indifferent reference Holmgren but I think two years is not a lot of time concerning the state they were in. I would be very disappointed if Heckert is let go. An complete turnover could also mean going back another 5 years.

Ok, but I don't think people realize how that devastated this city in the 90's. Imagine Craft moving the Pats because no new stadium was built. But good luck to the Pats, I will root for them every year they play the Steelers or Baltimore in the playoffs.
