Eagles praying for absent Reid?

09:39 AM ET 08.05 | Andy Reid was not in attendance to start the morning walkthrough. The team gathered on one of the practice fields at the beginning of the session and knelt down in prayer. An Eagles spokesman did not reveal much, other than to say that Reid is fine. Players declined comment coming off the field. Kurt Coleman put the following Tweet out before practice: "Prayers and condolences go out. May God protect us and serve us in this time of need."

Didn't Reid's kids have some difficulty with drug use? I seem to remember they were in legal trouble as well. Not sure what it is, but I hope whatever it is gets better for him.

Sometimes it can be very tough for the children of high profile parents. They have a hard time finding an identity of their own. Similar thing happened to Tony Dungy. It is very sad and must be very hard on the parent, especially a father, to lose a son.

Addictions have no boundaries..poor, rich, blue collar, white collar, privileged or not, the whole family struggles along with the addict. My condolences to the Reid family.
