Sounds like a long season, that turns into a short one.

Hint to the Wings. I know a 75-year-old with no hockey experience (and who has never competed at the professional level). Among other disadvantages, he limps and has a bad ticker.

On the plus side, he is cheap and probably won't hurt the Wings worse than anyone else they might get.

I might be wrong (wouldn't be unprecedented is what I'm tryin to say), but I can see the Wings dealing with a few "issues" in the short term while they try to replace Lidstrom.

may be a tough season in The Motor City

Scotty Bowman put Federov at D, so it can be done - put Bertuzzi and Drew Miller on D -problem solved. Both are physical gritty, in-your-face types. Better start thinking outside the box for D or else this will be a very long season for DRW.
