08:02 AM ET 08.06 | Beyond the issues that plague him off the field, Dez Bryant has significant room for improvement on the field, too -- this coming from Jerry Jones himself. Bryant has had a strong start camp but Jones said he always looked good in camp and faded as the season has gone along because he was out of shape. So while Bryant has looked good, Jones emphasized that he must sustain it. ... "What I want him to do is, and we want to do, is be able to do that all year long, all game long. That hasn't happened. He's disappeared at the end of some ballgames, and then we haven't had at him because of injury in the season. ... This season, he's really in top shape, I'm glad to see, it's exciting to see him make those plays."

Jerry telling us the obvious again. Thank you!

Dez is one of many players that needed to come in better conditioned for the season.

Mike Woicek... Hope you got through to them!

Man Dez sure is looking like a troubled young man. Jerry is sounding like if he does'nt do some good things he may be gone.

Player motivation isn't supposed to be the job of the owner or GM. Does JJ think he's the head coach now, too?

Nah... This is Jerry's way of saying, "we're sticking with him."

?

He's been the head coach since '92, DD.

Looks like Dez is a bit of a scapegoat here. He's guilty as charged, but he's hardly the only Cowboy who disappeared down the stretch. That's been a re-occuring theme for this team for years.

'94 (after Jimmy left).

I think you could substitute 52 other names in that assessment from last year. And include the head coach.

So, the Head Coach is calling out the Head Case?

Head lunatic is calling out the wildest lunatic. Sort of an updated 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.'

Bingo... A which is why I am interested in seeing Woicek back here.

Dude is good wherever he goes... and was good when he left here in the first place.

JJ has spoken!

Dez better listen..

August 6, 2012  09:08 AM ET

Generally speaking it seems like doing the opposite of what Jerry says is the correct answer. It seems a little weird, but start eating Doritos during games, Dez.

Exactly

Well Jerry, if you don't use your big receiver as a return man, his shelf life may be a little longer.

August 6, 2012  09:30 AM ET

Same ole Jerry Story,!! What's the Story Jerry!!!

August 6, 2012  09:42 AM ET

There is no story, just JJ talking
