08:13 AM ET 08.06 | The Gators pull into College Station in Week 2, by which point they may or may not have their quarterback position settled. With preseason camps starting to open across the country, the spotlight is shining bright on the battle under center in Gainesville between sophomores Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskel. Gators head coach Will Muschamp has maintained that he likes both signal-callers and is confident that the team can be successful with either one. So it is possible that the pair could share equal time under center, particularly in the season opener when the Gators host Bowling Green. ... Muschamp has maintained that he would prefer to have one quarterback emerge as the starter before the Sept. 1 opener against Bowling Green.

another day another UF copying UTx story.

I heard Phil Steele on the radio yesterday. He predicts UF to win the SECe and FSU to win the NC.

Trey Burton showed some promise when given an opportunity to play. Since they have switched to a pro style offense, I didn't know why he didn't transfer. Seems like a he would fit in nicely at Arizona with Rich Rod or even GA Tech.

Will, Will, Will... you ain't Coach Spurrier at 40 years old. Platooning rarely works.

Florida is becoming more like Vandy under Muschamp.

I'm curious to see what will happen this year. If they have the same qb play as last year, look out. I kind of think Tebow put the Dan Marino curse on this program. No qb will be able to live up to his standards.

Why not a Brigade, or a Corps?

Dude has serious issues, then.

Maybe a fire team? No, wait...still involves three guys (Notre Dame style).

It's the USAF 2-plane model -- a leader with a wingman. Just nobody knows which is which yet. And Mus better figure it out because without a leader, you ain't going anywhere.
