08:21 AM ET 08.06 | This week in Lake Placid, N.Y., USA Hockey's most promising teenage prospects are taking part in the National Junior Evaluation Camp, which features international competition beginning Monday. Arguably the best American prospect since Patrick Kane will be in camp, as Seth Jones takes the ice for the second straight year. Jones was the youngest player invited to last year's NJEC and immediately proved he belonged. An injury during the pre-tournament camp prevented Jones from representing Team USA at the 2012 World Juniors and his absence was noticeable. The 6-3, 200-pound defenseman could push Nathan MacKinnon for the first-overall selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Staal turned 18 in his first training camp after being drafted and so will this kid. Although this kid plays defense and he might need a little more time to develop.

Very true Spiny but to get to Kane standards it requires more training.

If Seth is projected to go first overall he should start now to look for a house in Edmonton.

I took up for you when someone threw a dirty crack Philly's way. Well, OK, I didn't. But, I refused to jump in with rotten comments of my own. Well, maybe twice, but that's it. OK, OK, OK, maybe 127 times....but that was all!
