Goodell behind Jerry's tough love with Dez?

08:05 AM ET 08.07 | Lately, we've been treated to a series of stern words coming from Jerry Jones, who publicly has Dez Bryant on thin ice. Jones, who has suddenly gone "bad cop" on Bryant with his daily comments, said the other day, "I see much improvement in Dez in every aspect. But he's [messed] around here and got his benefit of the doubt collateral down to nothing." I kind of have the feeling that every time of late Jerry has been publicly critical of Dez, a copy of his strong comments are being e-mailed direct to Goodell. Is Jerry trying to tell Roger, "hey, man, we've got it handled out here." ... While guessing, also consider that Goodell may have contacted Jerry and advised him that strong comments of condemnation needed to be heard from the owner of the Cowboys. Or else.

I don't think there is any doubt Goodell has had conversations with Jerry. Jerry is trying to keep Dez on the field especially since most of the rest of the receivers are 'who are these guys'.

Goodell, Jones, Bryant. A tale of 3 fools.

Goodell uses things like this as leverage in shady dealings, like when the Boys and Redskins got hosed down by snatching their cap money.

True. Both teams worked around it. I think we could have gotten more depth in our OL, with some of the money taken, but we'll see what happens....

Notice the important words 'guessing' and 'have a feeling'. In other words, 'making stuff up'.

Jerry should pull a Snyder, and buy the paper... Fire everyone.

For the love.....can we stop talking about Dez, I would like to pretend to forget our most talented receiver is a basket case!

Note: It was the other 30 owners who demanded that action. They called that shot. When the Cowboys gave Miles Austin that last contract and put $17 million of it that uncapped year, it raised the franchise tag number by another $1.5 million to tag a reciever.

JJ and Snyder messed with the pocket books of the other 30 owners by doing what they did that uncapped year. There is no honor among theives. They wanted their pound of flesh.

Talk all you want about Dez. It's Goodell that makes me want to puke. Choirboy has got to go. He is a pathetic excuse for a comish and my TV habbits will reflect my opinion. After all if I want to watch schoolboys and ballerina's I'll turn on the olympics.
Football: Fast, brutal, and unforgiving. Now that's a sport....for now.

If he's willing to make that deal with Vilma that was on here yesterday, his nuts might be in a noose. which of course is a damn shame. HA!
