USC's offense historically explosive?

08:37 AM ET 08.07 | The addition of Silas Redd sure can't hurt. Lane Kiffin began to see the signs late last season. He called it "the '04, the '05 style" -- a reference to some of the most explosive offenses in USC and college football history. The Trojans scored 50 points in their 2011 season finale. They averaged 43.6 points over their final five games. They had a 3,500-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher and two 1,000-yard receivers without the benefit of postseason games. If all goes according to plan this season, the offense should be even better. It even might make a leap similar to what happened between 2004 and '05 -- when USC's offense went from great to ridiculous.

Wasn't this about the time that the Reggie Bush situation also "exploded" all over the USC team?

Uh, no. How can you say that when it is in the no defense 12 Pac, makes them all look explosive, that is till they play an SEC team.<stir, stir, stir>

Colonel, good morning!!!! You know damn well that USC has always had a decent or very good defense!!! :-) Also when was the last time USC played an SEC team???? Can you tell me the final score of that game???? :-)

Odds on to win PAC 12 South. Good game with O, but SC will win. Somewhere along the line there will be an upset - there alway is - but USC in BCS for sure.

I'm anxious to see this offense. I read they rival the talent of the '05 USC/'01 Miami team? Yikes! Only questions mark is the depth, right? Even the defense is playing better.
