Rex blasts Jets after more fights

08:04 AM ET 08.08 | If Rex Ryan thought taking his team out for a movie Tuesday night would help diffuse the tension that led to a brawl earlier in the day, he was mistaken. Jets practice got feisty for the second straight day and coach Rex Ryan is clearly annoyed about it. Ryan halted practice Tuesday twice. First, to deliver an expletive-filled warning to the Jets to stop fighting. Then, to make them run sprints after another fight nearly broke out. All of this comes a day after a major brawl at practice nearly spilled into the stands. "I'm glad we're playing somebody else on Friday. It will be good. It's that time," Ryan said. ... "I think sometimes you're trying to be physical, but being physical is one thing. Going past that is something else and that's what I didn't like."

Rex's team won one more game last year than the last Jets team Mangini coached and was fired from. Two play off teams will buy you some time, but Woody has to be just a little nervous about the organization. If this thing blows up again on Rex, then he will reappear as a DC next year.
