08:29 AM ET 08.08 | Change is a' comin' to St. Louis. The Blues announced Tuesday that four members of the club's front office will be changing roles. Al MacInnis, who had been vice president of hockey operations since 2006, will now be a special adviser to general manager Doug Armstrong. Dave Taylor will take over the role of VP of hockey operations, after serving as the director of player personnel since 2010. Rob DiMaio, previously a professional scout for the team, has been named the director of pro scouting. Kevin McDonald will give up the position as director of pro scouting, but he will remain the Blues' assistant GM under Armstrong and the head GM of the Peoria Rivermen. ... There was no announcement regarding the status of Blues President John Davidson.

right, because they had a much better season than anyone thought, (even though they turned into The Sharks at playoff time) so why not change everything up

There was no announcement regarding the status of Blues President John Davidson.

He'll be in charge of the sheep dip.

Let me float a little theory here. Since the actions of the Blues in the late 60's (Plager, et al) are in many ways responsible for the evolution of the Broad Street Bullies, it seems that the franchise is forever doing penance for their role in helping the Bullies come about. It might be they are destined to get close to a Cup, but then fail as payment for their actions.


Just a theory, which is mine.
