Curtis McNeal took the handoff, darted through a hole to the right, cut back to the middle and outraced the USC defense toward the end zone -- a highlight play on the very first team running drill of fall football camp. On the second, D.J. Morgan busted a long run. Call it the Silas Redd Effect. The recent addition of the junior tailback via Penn State didn't merely improve USC's depth at that position; it greatly enhanced the level of competition. ... "Those guys are competitors," said Redd, who completed his second practice as a Trojan on Tuesday night. "We're coming out here and competing for that No. 1 spot. They understand that. I understand that. There's no animosity or hard feelings."

Default, did you get a chance to see McNeal last year? He was/is pretty good, but again he ran behind Kalil, now the defense is another story altogether!!! :-)
