08:29 AM ET 08.09 | Defenseman Ryan Murphy has quite a year in front of him: Either he'll be a key cog for Team Canada at the World Junior Championship or he'll have landed a job on an NHL team in the midst of a nice offseason. There's no question Murphy would serve as a key player working the point on the power play for Team Canada, something the coaching staff will be monitoring closely because special teams are so crucial in a short tournament. Of course, there's always the chance Murphy, a first-round pick of the Carolina Hurricanes in 2011, earns a roster spot with the big club right out of training camp. "I think he's ready for the challenge of stepping up and trying to win a job at the [professional level]," Carolina's director of amateur scouting, Tony MacDonald, told NHL.com.

If they are gonna use a Sid pic, I much rather the one of him going for the applebags. You know, keep it light?

I like the one where he's lining up for the face off. You can just see him thinking about going for the other guys wrists ;)
