Change of plans for Georgia at QB

08:23 AM ET 08.09 | A Wednesday scrimmage helped clear a muddy picture in Athens. The statistics from the scrimmage showed why Hutson Mason continues to be ahead of redshirt freshman Christian LeMay as the No. 2 quarterback even though Georgia would like to redshirt Mason. Mason completed 9 of 13 passes for 86 yards and a touchdown. LeMay was 3 of 6 for 44 yards and an interception. "If something happened today, Hutson is No. 2," Richt said. "It could change throughout camp, but Hutson just has a tremendous feel for what he's doing and has got another year under his belt compared to LeMay. LeMay's getting there. He's made some good progress." Richt said an injury to Murray could still prompt Georgia to play Mason even in the sixth game of the season.

You know the old saying...if you have two backup QB's you have no backup QB's.

LOL

Could be worse, have two backups and no starter.

If i'm not mistaken, Murray got beat up a bit last year, so they better have a good #2.

Different year now...UGA actually has what looks to be a solid running attack, which will take pressure off of Murray and presumably keep him upright.

Who is gonna provide the rock toting? They kicked their best RB to the curb.

Are you kidding? Crowell ran about as tough as a 3 year old girl. He was a crybaby and couldn't take a hit. From day 1 he was the most overrated 5 star I've seen in a long time. He will not be missed.

To answer the question, I think Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall carry the load. Both have the work ethic, mental & physical toughness, and desire to do very well this year. From what I've seen, both are already light years ahead of Crowell.
