08:31 AM ET 08.09 | What a difference a few months made for Marian Gaborik. The Rangers winger was back in town to meet with team doctors to check on his recovery from surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder. "I feel good," Gaborik, who is rehabbing in his native Slovakia, told fan blog Blueshirts United. "I have been working hard in terms of rehab. Things are going as they should be, so I am happy with the progress." The injury, which occurred in the opening round of the playoffs against the Ottawa Senators, is expected to take six months to recover from and keep Gaborik out of the Rangers lineup at the start of the season. Gaborik said he recently increased his rehab from bike training to working with weights.

Someone got injured in the NHL and it wasn't a Penguin player's fault? This is news! Then again maybe Sid put a contract out on him.

exactly, but he did kind of try to play the "team game" which I thought was silly. As you note, that's not why he's there

No, that air was coming from a certain Flyers' player whining about his boo-boos. :)
