Leader emerging in Miami's quarterback race

08:18 AM ET 08.10 | Quarterback battles this time of year are sensitive stuff on college campuses, where coaches are loathe to name a starter too early and players follow suit. At UM, they're sticking to the script for the most part. Junior Stephen Morris and redshirt sophomore Ryan Williams have a week's worth of practices/auditions complete as they enter the biggest test of them all. A Sunday scrimmage could produce a verdict. ... But a locker room leader may be emerging. Most have declined naming a favorite, but receiver Phillip Dorsett didn't hesitate when asked this week. "Stephen Morris," he said. "He's emerging. He's 10 times as good as last year. He came back bigger, stronger. He knows the offense well and he's just leading the team right now."

That's what I immediately thought as well.

They now have a Leader to go with all their Legends - which Miami has many of. But not so many lately...

Call me John - Why so angry towards Miami? If we're such a cess pool, why would you even waste your time commenting on our team. You should go back to your Longhorn blogs and you can reminisce about that 1 championship you have since 1970. Al Golden has been a great coach so far and we're happy to have him. Maybe you think he would have been better off back at his alma mater, Penn State. One last thing. Do you know understand the "entertainment" dollar and how that works? Let's see...Austin...we can go to the football game or...go see a band...or...actaully, that's it. In addition to Miami being an amazing multi-cultural city with fantastic beaches and tons of local area attractions, we also have the Marlins, Panthers, Dolphins AND the WORLD CHAMPION MIAMI HEAT. So many things to do and so little time. You may draw bigger crowds but that's because there is nothing else to do. You can keep your Lamehorns. We'll keep our Canes and all the other great stuff to do in Miami.
