10:01 AM ET 08.11 | Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick faces a six-week recovery period after having back surgery to repair a lingering disc problem. Quick had undergone therapy for the past couple of months but it wasn't solving the issue, so the Conn Smythe Trophy winner had a "minor surgical procedure" -- according to the Kings -- because of a disc fragment and an inflammatory cyst that had formed. Assistant general manager Ron Hextall told LA Kings Insider that Quick should be back at full strength "sometime around" the start of training camp in September.
