09:29 AM ET 08.12 | As expected, one of the state's most-heavily recruited prospects committed to Florida State on Saturday. Davin Bellamy, a 6-foot-4, 235-pound defensive end from Chamblee High School, picked Florida State over Vanderbilt, among his 33 football scholarship offers, which also included UGA and Georgia Tech. "I just felt like I had to make a decision to go with the school that would be better for my career and help my chances of going pro," Bellamy told the AJC. "I thought Florida State could do that for me."

"And you turned down Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech? WOW.

That statement itself is proof he does not belong at Vandy.

Bellamy and Super Mario could be fun to watch on the same team, provided one sticks around long enough to see the other on the field.

Maybe he wants to go to a school that can beat another team with a winning record. Vandy was unable to do that last season and there is no reason to assume they can d it this year no matter how good looking Franklin thinks his assistant's wives look.

QUOTE(#10):

As the Vandy football graduates eventually might hire the ex Florida State players as yard guys or janitors or some other type of menial labor 10 years from now. But Bowl games are important.

Going to a particular school does not guarantee success. You are the perfect example. You claim to have graduated from Stanford, yet you're borderline ****.

Yeah because you can't play football at FSU and be something like, I don't know, a Rhodes Scholar.

QUOTE(#15):

In the bad news category for FSU, Steele(sp?) has y'all picked as NC this year; and, to the best of my knowledge and belief, he ain't been right yet.

He's been right twice, both in the last four years: Bama '11 and UF '08.

His predicted NC winner has played for (without winning) the NC in three other years: 2000 (FSU), 2004 (OU), 2005 (USC).

I don't think we'll win it this year. Questions on the OL, lost an amazing punter (huge weapon in the field position battle for us last year, which made the D's job easier), just kicked a starting CB and one of the nation's best PR/KR off the team. Our QB has not had a completely healthy year yet, and the backups are very young.

We will have a good year, possibly great. But I'm not 100% sure we'll win the NC. But we are building a NC caliber team, and I expect we'll be consistently in the top 10 in the foreseeable future.
