10:11 AM ET 08.12 | Since its inception in 2007, Michael Waltrip Racing has never sent a driver into the Chase for the Sprint Cup. In fact, no driver running full time for the organization has ever finished the season ranked higher than 16th in the series standings. As odd as it may seem, Sunday's Finger Lakes 355 at Watkins Glen International may provide the opportunity for MWR to lock up two spots in the 12-driver field gunning for this season's championship. Wins or solid finishes by both Martin Truex, Jr. and Clint Bowyer on Sunday could go a long way toward locking up their invitations to the championship Chase.

candy boy in the toy camry went stompin' off again ... seems he got into oil from another one of those import manufactures turds ... how ironic. Good exciting racing at the end ... seems NASCAR knew there was turd juice on the track but did not want to end the race under caution ...

A look at the race for the two wild-card positions for the Chase based on wins and being inside the top 20 in points. ...
Driver {wins} standings, behind 10th ..first two would make the chase as wild cards:
#5-Kasey Kahne [2 wins} 11th -40 points out of 10th
#39 Ryan Newman [1 win] 13th -49
eight other drivers currently in the running for the wild cards:
