Gibson playing for his future

08:12 AM ET 08.13 | Of course, the Cavs liked C.J. Miles' game, which includes being able to play shooting guard and small forward. But they also know that Daniel Gibson is in the last year of his contract, which pays him a healthy $4.8 million. Meanwhile, Gibson has battled injuries the last three seasons, missing a total of 72 games. He had a miserable year on the court in 2012, shooting career low 35 percent, averaging 7.5 points. The price tag for players such as Gibson has dropped. Consider the Cavs signed Miles for $4 million over two seasons, with the second year not guaranteed. Miles was paid $3.7 million annually for the previous four years. Gibson needs to play well and stay healthy to secure a decent deal next season.

How about playing for your present first!!! There MAY not be a future.

Given all the bush league talent in the league at present AKA One Jeremy Love Lin and the rest of the funky bunch parading around town with the stack contracts, if I'm Danny G, I wouldn't be worried at all. I'd be just playing ho hum ball in hopes that it will ge me a quick ticket outta Cavs land. Bank on this much.....the bogus Lin like contracts will always be on the table if you got any kind of talent, marginal talent included. With the owners present state of mind......."Danny G" the contracts will be there baby.....bank on it!

Gibson is a great player in 2K12. He nails every 3 with ease! Even easier to score 3's with than with Irving.
