08:18 AM ET 08.14 | With a week left of camp, West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen turned up the heat on his youngsters. Holgorsen said Tyler Orlosky, 6 feet 4, 290 pounds, and Adam Pankey (6-5, 324 pounds) are physically ready but not necessarily mentally ready for the demands of the position. "Hopefully we don't have to play those guys. You want to redshirt 'O' linemen." Physically they're up to speed. Mentally it's going to take some time. We'll keep repping them. And we won't talk about a redshirt situation here for the next few weeks." That may go for several freshmen, he said, who during 50-something live snaps at practice Monday ranged from good to terrible. "Our second-team offense looks terrible. They look awful."

QUOTE(#6):

Not a good choice of words by coach Holgersen describing his freshmen Offensive linemen. Why 'terrible' and 'awful'? Why not 'unseasoned' or 'inexperienced'? Maybe he should redshirt them, unless he's desperate and his depth chart is thin.

I guess for Offensive players you should use the unseasoned language...and defensive players it is acceptable to use terrible and awful

Per yesterday's tOSU thread, maybe he's taking the Urban Meyer approach to coaching.

Do your recruiting evaluations based off of Rival stars? Ignore the line of scrimmage when coaching?

Is this going to cost them their casino privileges?

Harley, I agree... his language was unfortunate. He needs to realize that he's not in the (not so) Big East anymore and any of the 9 BIG 12 schools on his schedule can whip him like a red-headed stepchild. The kids he's been recruiting might not be a high enough caliber to compete in his new conference. He'll be back on the booze before the season has ended.
