Wings swinging for Yandle?

08:36 AM ET 08.15 | For the Red Wings, losing both Nicklas Lidstrom and Brad Stuart leaves a gaping hole on the back end, something that suggested Detroit might be looking to acquire Jay Bouwmeester. A far more attractive acquisition through a big trade is Keith Yandle, the young mainstay for the Coyotes, who is signed through 2016. Yandle combines developing defensive skills with advanced scoring and playmaking abilities, and he clearly is among the top young defensemen in the NHL. It would cost the Red Wings considerably to acquire him. But Yandle, who turns 26 next month, is far more worthy of it than Bouwmeester. The Red Wings have inquired about Yandle. But what complicates their pursuit is the perilous ownership situation in Phoenix.

Trust me, Brad Stuart is no big loss and is already replaced and forgotten. Lidstrom is a different story. If Ken Holland is going after Keith Yandle ..... all I can say is .... we can Yandle that. We'd rather have him than Jay Blow-mister.

Forget Yandle. You want the whole package. Great D Man, team leader, Captain.

Yes, you know you want Dion Phaneuf.

If it were me, I'd give them Paul Martin for the price of a one way airline ticket.

The hole in our back end is big enough as it is! No point adding another "a" hole to our back end.

I watched the movie for the 1st time in ages a few months ago...I forgot how high everyone was in that movie. My 94 year olde Irish mom-in law, with bad eyes and all....saw Ann-margaret and even commented on her....condition.
her eyes were the size of dinner plates
But the soundtrack was good...I always liked Elton's take on Pinball Wizard

High? Those fine upstanding boys from England? Never!

I rarely like covers as much as the original but I do prefer Elton's version of Pinbal Wizard. I also like Joe Coc*kers covers of With a Little Help from My Friends and She Came in Through the Bathroom Window.
