No interest in Oden?

08:11 AM ET 08.15 | An unrestricted free agent, Greg Oden is available, but apparently without a team in sight. That sounds a little weird to say, considering Oden starred at Ohio State during the 2006-07 season, leading the Buckeyes to the NCAA championship game as a freshman and becoming the No. 1 overall pick (by Portland) in the NBA draft that followed. But that was five years ago, and two knee surgeries and a few assorted injuries later, the 7-foot-0 center has drawn little interest in the market. In fact, he admitted the interest hasn't been there at all. "It's not like teams are out there telling people they want me, because they're not right now," Oden told the Terre Haute (Ind.) Tribune-Star. Oden has played in just 82 total games in his NBA career.

Teams don't want to sign a guy that is going to be on the bench in street clothes.

Poor dude. So much talent wasted due to glass knees!

The guy is broken and has little to offer.

Therefore, I fully expect the Knicks to offer him a $10M/year contract for 5 years before the season starts.

If a team needs a center and Oden is willing to take say a mil a year I'd take a chance. In this regard lets face it with the Knicks, Chandler is very suspect offensively and Stat have zere post moves except for power dunking.......I'd take a look at Greg. It certainly can't hurt as much as some of the recent signing.........i.g. A brokedown B. Diddy, old men J. Kidd & M. Camby, K. Thomas and so on. Oden is worth the stretch.

I told you 5 years sago. Oden is simply another mistake on the part of the Trailblazers. Someone will eventually give him a shot, and confirm this. How many chances has Kwame Brown had?Noone has even mentioned the 50 lbs Oden has put on while watching TV and eating pizza. Not too smart on shaky knees. He'd be better off going to Europe.

He'd be better off getting a job selling Fords.

Sad but true. But just watch; someone will take the chance.
