08:11 AM ET 08.16 | What might have been for a Spanish team that included Ricky Rubio. The Wolves are expecting to start the season without their second-year point guard, as well. [Glen Taylor] said he could only guess when Rubio will be healthy enough to play after coming off March knee surgery. The Wolves will open the season Nov. 2. "The doctors said he was progressing faster than normal, and normal was supposed to be in January," Taylor said Tuesday, Aug. 14, a day before heading to China on a two-week charity mission. "Faster than normal would be December. He's going to start running and stuff in a few weeks." ... Overall, according to Taylor, the Wolves roster seems about set for the coming season.

His injury was the sole reason they fell out of the playoff race...

Man you arent kidding there. The ship went down faster than the titanic when he went out. Talk about a guy that makes everyone around him better, he is it. Wouldve loved to have seen him with spain against US in the gold medal game. Dissapointing thing about that injury though is the missed summer where players get better. Let's face it. He really needed to work on his shooting this summer.

Spain wouldn't have beaten the US with him either.

Rubio has not been in a wheel chair and has been able to work on his shot.
