Surprise top WR in Bucs' camp

08:04 AM ET 08.17 | The Buccaneers were hoping for a receiver to emerge opposite free-agent addition Vincent Jackson, something that appears to have happened. Mike Williams was always considered at least a narrow front-runner for the job, and he has only tightened his hold on that role over the past few weeks, we hear. We're told Williams has been the Bucs' most consistent receiver in camp. He has matured and seems to be soaking up knowledge from Jackson, who continues to set a fine example for the young group of Bucs receivers. Williams' fellow third-year receiver, Arrelious Benn, was supposed to be involved in the competition for snaps in the rotation, but he has been out since late July with a knee injury.

Why would anyone go to a Tampa game? Do you have any idea how good the fishing is there? I might take a portable TV but if I'm in Tampa with a half day to kill, I'm going fishing.

I'd take a cooler to the beach, sit there with dark glasses on and pretend to read a book while studying beach mammals.

You'll want to head to St. Pete Beach for that. T-backs are legal there. They aren't in Clearwater. You're welcome.

About 90 miles south of there is Stump Pass Beach. Bathing suits should be illeagal. The average age of the beach goer is around 85, and nothing is more frightning than a t-back in those waters. It takes months for your eyes to stop burning. Another 150 miles and your in South Beach. Quite the contrast in scenery but the fishing is good from Clearwater to Key West and even better if there is a huricane brewing.
